About Us
A note from co-founders, Anurag Sood (Andy) & Roma Chadha Sood.
Dear Selling Partners & Customers:
Dyslexia Products is a marketplace for everything related to dyslexia - for dyslexia, from dyslexia and by dyslexia.
Our journey with dyslexia began in 2008 when Roma Chadha, started working with children with dyslexia in a Montessori school in northern California.
Roma trained and got certified as a Barton tutor and worked as a reading specialist in the school and as a dyslexia tutor at home in her private practice.
After working with kindergarten and elementary school children (including some homeschool children in her private practice), Roma started supplementing the Barton curriculum by designing her own learning tools using visual clues that immensely helped her students understand and learn to read and spell sight words.
Having used these visual clues for sight words and tricky homophones with hundreds of students, her research and data showed that the students made a significant progress and in some cases were able to catch up with their grade-level reading over a period of 12-18 months.
This successful data point led her to the idea of taking this wider and she became an entrepreneur in 2012 and started the dyslexia and K-5 learning products company I See, I Spell, I Learn®.
Roma has a masters in communication from USC and before becoming a dyslexia tutor and entrepreneur, Roma worked as a training consultant to global services and outsourcing firms in Asia & North America.
Anurag has had a career of 25+ years spanning across Asia, Europe & North America and in varied fields such as finance & accounting, business consulting, media and journalism, and global outsourcing services. He has worked with global firms like Arthur Andersen, IBM and Reuters News Services.
As an entrepreneur, Anurag is a co-founder of I See, I Spell, I Learn. Besides his usual day job working with global Fortune 500 firms, he worked with Roma since 2012 to expand the business both within the US and internationally and adding new learning products to the firm's portfolio. In 2019, Anurag took a break from his full-time global sales and services role, and started focusing on I See, I Spell, I Learn, LLC as a full time venture.
Fast forward to June 2020 - the world around us has changed significantly due to Covid19 pandemic. Many of us lost our primary source of livelihood, or faced reduced earnings from self employed businesses. Simultaneously, there is a robust demand for more online education content as parents make the hard choices of enabling a fun and effective home learning environment for young learners, and especially for children with special abilities like dyslexia.
There are plenty of places online to get this stuff, but all of these are individual brand stores (like Roma's venture www.iSeeiSpelliLearn.com). We couldn't find one marketplace where different brands and content creators came together with learning tools for special abilities like dyslexia.
Hence, we created this store - Dyslexia Products, a marketplace for everything dyslexia™.
Individual brand owners and content creators - teachers, tutors, parents at home - are welcome to become sellers on this portal. If you are already selling on other platforms such as TeachersPayTeachers or the big-daddy Amazon, it will be an easier start for you, with an opportunity of higher earnings.
We'd like to partner with our sellers, and will continue to evolve this marketplace with newer categories and product types. We are brand agnostic and the products that sell the most and have the best customer reviews will rise in the ranking on the home page and individual category pages.
For a limited time, the first 50 selling partners will have the first year annual professional fees of $30 waived.
We are starting with Digital only products. After an initial launch and once the sellers have been verified and have a track record, we will open the store to selling physical items as well.
The two Main Menu items - USED & REUSE and CREATED BY DYSLEXIA - will be opened up to select sellers after qualification and then they will be able to sell physical products on the marketplace.
Please come join us on this wonderful journey of creating and growing with Dyslexia Products, a marketplace for everything dyslexia™.
Warmly,
Anurag Sood (Andy) & Roma Chadha Sood
